The BASF plant near Seneca donated two barrels of food to the Collins Children’s Home, which assists families and children in the area who need additional nutritional support.  BASF workers for weeks collected food, including canned fruit and vegetables, soups, crackers, pancake mixes, tuna, beans, spaghetti, peanut butter, macaroni, cheese.

South Carolina’s new confirmed COVID-19 cases reported Wednesday by the state health agency:  436, including 14 in Oconee County.  Statewide, 23 deaths have been added to the death toll.  Of 14,007 test results, the new positivity:  4.7%.

A Clemson man has been arrested in the investigation of crimes March 1 at a home in Seneca.  The Seneca police have announced the arrest of Billy Tikeith Bruce on charges of assault and battery third degree and burglary first degree at a home on Maple Grove Road.

Sheriff Crenshaw has named a new school resource officer at the Fair-Oak Elementary School.  He’s Keith Brooks who worked 18 years in law enforcement before joining the private sector.  And there’s a new jail guard at the county detention center.  He’s Isaac Salter, who worked two and a half years at the Greenville County Detention Center.

The stormwater department of the city of Clemson has begun the first full neighborhood rehabilitation in one of its home developments.  The work has started in the Berkeley Forest neighborhood.  The project is scheduled to take six weeks, with digging to start next week.
