Fourth arrest in criminal sex case

A young Seneca man has been arrested in the investigation of a case of alleged criminal sexual conduct in which the victim was below legal age.  According to the Oconee Sheriff’s Office, the arrest yesterday of George Tony Webb Jr., 18, is the fourth arrest in a case investigation of information about in-appropriate relations allegedly between Webb and a juvenile.

Search and rescue north of Walhalla

The cross-trained personnel of Walhalla Fire Department and others this afternoon were in search and rescue of an individual on an outing at Yellow Branch Falls, SC 28, the Highlands Highway.  A total of 23 people were assisting a patient with a lower extremity injury.  Further details to be announced.
