 No one was hurt, but heavy vehicle damage occurred in a weekend car accident on Seneca’s 123 By-Pass.  The accident was reported at 4:45 pm Saturday in the westbound lanes at the Pine Cliff Drive intersection.  Involved were a Kia SUV driven by a 53-year old Seneca woman and a 1995 Audi sedan driven by a 55-year old Seneca man.  […]

A job fair Wednesday in Greenville will be conducted as a drive-thru event.  The job fair will take place 9 am to 1 pm Wednesday at the food bank Harvest of Hope at 2818 White Horse Drive.  Without having to leave your vehicle, curbside food will be offered, along with information about job opportunities.

Volunteers for the Oconee Humane Society will distribute pet food at no charge tomorrow near Seneca.  Called “Thankful Tuesday”, this giveaway of dog and cat food will take place from 2 to 4 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the Ann Hope United Methodist Church at 702 Goddard Avenue.

In normal fashion, Oconee School District meals for at-home students will be available for pickup on Thursday.  Those students Thursday are to receive meals covering seven days.  There will be no meal pick-up Thanksgiving week. Campgrounds are closing for the winter starting today at two Oconee County parks.  The campgrounds at both High Falls ands Chau Ram will re-open March 1.  The campground at the county’s South Cove Park will remain open until December 21, then close for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays and re-open on January 4.

A two-week project to improve stormwater drainage starts today in Clemson.  City crews will attempt the improvements at Shorecrest Drive and Sloan Street.  Traffic will remain passable, but motorists should be careful and expect minor delays.
