Fall graduation next week at CU

More than 11-hundred students are expected to receive degrees next week when Clemson University hosts its fall graduation ceremonies at Littlejohn Coliseum. The academic ceremonies are the last ones for James Barker. Clemson’s president announced in April he is stepping down after 14 years. His replacement, Jim Clements, takes over January 1.

Combat training completed

Army National Guard Private Justice Lee and Army Reserve Private Austin Chastain graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson. They underwent nine weeks of training. Lee’s the son of Kat and Mike Lee of Seneca and Chastain is the son of Belinda Neal of Walhalla and David Chastain of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
