A car-motorcycle accident during the noon hour yesterday near Walhalla resulted in the motorcyclist receiving a medical helicopter flight.  Walhalla Fire Department joined volunteers from Picket Post-Camp Oak at the scene of the accident at north highway 11 at Christopher’s Road.

The steeples atop two of Seneca’s largest churches are being replaced this week.  The steeples at both Seneca Baptist Church and Trinity Baptist were destroyed in the April 13 tornado.  The churches are only blocks apart in a section of Seneca south of the railroad and the scene of some of the worst damage inflicted by the EF3.

A case of a student with COVID-19 is reported at Seneca High School.  Dr. Michael Thorsland, district superintendent, said, “We will post tomorrow morning.  There was a student case there reported today (Wednesday).”

The highway patrol has announced the death today of a moped rider who was hurt in a weekend afternoon accident near Westminster.  Coroner Addis identified the decedent as Jim Rose, 68-year old Westminster resident.  Death to the moped rider came at 7:06 this morning at Prisma Health Greenville.  The accident, described as a spill, occurred at 2:15 pm Sunday on […]
