The Thanksgiving food bag giveaway at the Calvary Church has been postponed until tomorrow.  It had been scheduled this evening.  Vic Blackwell, associate pastor, says the giveaway of Thanksgiving dinner food items now takes place tomorrow, from 5:30 to 7 pm, at the church, 155 Maxim Drive, Westminster, off the Sandifer Boulevard.

All Oconee recycling centers, the landfill, and the transfer station will be closed for Thanksgiving, as well as Friday.  The recycling centers and the landfill will do regular business on Saturday.

City hall is telling Walhalla sanitation customers that tomorrow is the day for their pickup — if their normal trash day is Thursday or Friday.  For tomorrow’s pickups, roll carts should be out by 7 in the morning.
