South Carolina DHEC announced 909 new confirmed COVID cases today, along with 18 additional deaths.  Thirty-five of those 909 were Oconee County residents.  There were, however, no additional Oconee deaths.  Individual test results reported to DHEC Monday was 5,226 and the positive rate was 17.4%.

Seneca’s Thursday night entertainment event “Jazz on the Alley” is taking the week off.  According to city announcement, the cancellation will allow Seneca to evaluate the event’s rate of compliance with Governor McMaster’s COVID-19 guidelines for large gatherings.  Officials hope Jazz may resume next week.
