  Three Oconee County schools are getting new principals for the next school year.  They are Dr. Brandon Blackwell at the West-Oak Middle School, Josh Wittrock at Orchard Park Elementary, and Sherrie McAllister at Westminster Elementary.  The selections of Blackwell, Wittrock, and McAllister were approved last night by the county board of trustees.

Four new drug arrests in the latest Oconee roundup

  Four additional drug arrests are being announced by the Oconee Sheriff’s Office as part of a countywide sweep begun April 29.  Those arrests for a variety of alleged drug offenses are reported the same day as Oconee County political candidates addressed the scourge of drugs on society, as the candidates spoke during a forum at Seneca’s Gignilliat Community Center.
