Roethlisberger has sprained shoulder

The Pittsburgh Steelers disclosed Tuesday that Ben Roethlisberger suffered a sprained shoulder when he was sacked in the third quarter the night before in the game against the Kansas City Chiefs, an injury that forced him to leave the game. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said that Roethlisberger will not play this Sunday.  Byron Leftwich will get the start.

Westminster man dies in Saturday tractor accident

A Westminster man is dead following a tractor accident Saturday afternoon.  Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis says 68 year-old Furman Wallace “Dink” Blackwell died at the scene near Alice Lane in Westminster.  Police say 911 was notified of the incident just before 4:00 PM on Saturday when a passerby noticed the overturned tractor.  Addis says Blackwell was turning soil using […]

Robert Nkemdiche, the nation’s top football recruit in the Class of 2013, has decommitted from Clemson.  His high school coach Mickey Conn broke the news to ESPN.com’s RecruitingNation via text message on Thursday.  Reports surfaced Wednesday night that Nkemdiche, a 6-foot-5, 265-pound defensive end from Grayson HS in Loganville (Ga.)
