Warrior wrestling takes Upper State crown

The West-Oak High School wrestling team captured the Upper State championship Wednesday with a 35-30 win over South Pointe from Rock Hill. The Warriors now head to the Class 3A state title matches this Saturday at Dreher High School where they face second-ranked Beaufort High School.

In area high school basketball Tuesday, Seneca’s boys were 82-55 winners over Pickens with Tristen Hudson leading the way with 21 points, including four three-pointers. Walhalla Defeats Top-Ranked West-Oak

On the high school wrestling mat Thursday, Walhalla defeated the top-ranked Western 3A champion West-Oak Warriors 34-30. The Razorbacks are in action at Seneca High School on Saturday.
