Bank Robbery Suspect in Custody

Police say the man thought to be responsible for the Tuesday robbery at Community First Bank in Seneca is in custody in North Carolina. The robbery occurred at the 123/Sheep Farm Road branch. Local teams stay alive in postseason

Seneca’s softball team stayed alive in the Class 3A postseason with a 13-2 rout of South Pointe on Wednesday. The Bobcats now face Blue Ridge on Friday. The Walhalla boys’ soccer team defeated Dreher High School, 2-1, in the first round of the playoffs on Tuesday. The Razors will now head to Eastside for round two on Thursday. Eastside defeated Chester in the round one on Monday. Elsewhere, Seneca’s season ends with a 5-1 loss at AC Flora.

Nine Year Old Missing From West Union Found Safe

Oconee County Sheriff’s Deputies and rescue teams located a missing nine year-old boy from the Scenic Heights area of West Union. The boy was found, unhurt, in the Fairfield Road section of Walhalla.
