Lattimore hyperextended right knee

South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore hyperextended his right knee against Tennessee, causing injury to several ligaments, the school said in a release Sunday.  Coach Steve Spurrier said the injury is something Lattimore can come back from to play football again.  There were no fractures or additional injuries, according to team physician Jeffrey Guy.  Spurrier…

Panthers fire GM Marty Hurney

The Carolina Panthers announced Monday morning that general manager Marty Hurney has been relieved of his duties.  The move came a day after a 19-14 loss to Dallas gave Carolina a 1-5 start despite it having one of the league’s higher payrolls. The Panthers’ record is the worst in the NFC.

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney Sunday confirmed cornerback Darius Robinson will miss the rest of the regular season after it was determined he has a fractured ankle. Junior outfielder commits to Clemson

Outfielder and shortstop Chase Pinder (6-0, 165) of Poquoson High School in Virginia announced a commitment on Sunday to play baseball at Clemson. The announcement came via Twitter. Pinder batted .436 last season.
