The Golden Corner is in store for rain event of historic proportions, according to the National Weather Service. The area is under a flash flood watch from Friday morning through Monday morning. Heavy rain, possibly up to 7 inches, is possible from the system as an upper low will remain stationary and Hurricane Joawuin moves near the Carolina coast.
