Auto theft and its connection to home burglary

The police in Walhalla say the capture of a suspect, they believe, will resolve two crimes—-a home burglary yesterday and an auto theft last night. That individual, Brandon Lewis Williams, 25, of Seneca was jailed at the Oconee Detention Center, charged with burglary second degree and grand larceny, according to Chief Ronald Wilbanks.  The chief said a Plymouth van, stolen last night from a home on North Pine Street was found this morning near Laurel Street. And, he said, the police believe their suspect stole the van as a way to elude the police who spent the night looking for their suspect in yesterday’s home burglary a short distance away.
