Autopsy confirms drowning

An autopsy today confirmed the cause of an Easley man’s death in Lake Keowee was drowning. Oconee Coroner Karl Addis said Charles David Keeney fell from a boat yesterday afternoon at Fall Creek Falls near Salem. A statement by the coroner says, “No traumatic injuries were found and no pre-existing conditions were found to have caused him to have a seizure as reported by the witness. Mr. Keeney reportedly could swim, after falling into the lake, he apparently made no effort to swim.”
