Autopsy confirms traffic death

An autopsy has disclosed blunt force chest trauma the cause of death of an 82-year old man involved in Wednesday afternoon’s car accident on Walhalla’s W. Main Street. Coroner Karl Addis said of the autopsy on Will Kelley of Mountain Rest: “Although pre-existing medical conditions were found at autopsy; no definitive event could be documented to support or explain why he lost control of his vehicle and struck the utility pole.” Addis classified the death as an accident. Will Kelley became the 23rd traffic fatality in Oconee County in 2012.
