Autopsy today

October 7, 2013

An autopsy takes place today on the body of a 23-year old man found in Lake Hartwell. Oconee Coroner Karl Addis said Logan Wolfe of Richmond Hill, Georgia was found about 100 feet from where he fell into the lake in about 55 feet of water. Saturday afternoon, according to Georgia DNR law enforcement officer Craig Fulghum, a group was operating a pontoon boat near the Harbor Light Marina and the I-85 bridge on the way back from a camping trip when one of the passengers fell off the boat. Others on the boat tried to find the victim in the water, but could not locate him and called 911. Fulghum said divers searched until about 11 Saturday night and on Sunday morning brought in high-tech equipment. The body was found about 10:30 yesterday morning.
