In a week and a half, the Oconee County Sheriff hopes to have a start date for building the new jail. Sheriff Mike Crenshaw says another meeting with the architects will take place Thursday, October 17—as a follow-up to meeting last week. “It will take about one year to build once they begin. They are to come back on the 17th with a design based on our input at the meeting last week,” Crenshaw told 96.3/WGOG NEWS.
