Axion cameras prove valuable to Sheriff’s Office

February 10, 2014

Ten new Aixon cameras that some Oconee road patrol deputies wear on their rounds are proving valuable to officers making their cases. They also have a dual effect of protection for a suspect when questions are raised later. Sheriff Mike Crenshaw admitted today that the time is approaching for the need of his office to install equipment that will provide audio and visual recordings of interrogations that take place behind close doors.
