Back porch fire near Seneca

A malfunction, apparently inside the relief valve of a propane tank grill, could have led to a July 4 weekend tragedy near Seneca. The fire department credits the homeowner last night on Alberts Road with quick action in limiting the fire to the back porch of the home. According to fire fighter Fabian Skelton, the fire could have easily spread to the home. The homeowner used a garden hose to stop the fire and had it out by the time fire fighters, trucks, and equipment reached the Alberts Road address by Sheep Farm Road.
