Bear seen on W. Bear Swamp Road

Citizen accounts received by 96.3/WGOG NEWS indicate sightings of bears in recent days—one in Salem and the other on W. Bear Swamp Road near the Walhalla city limit.  In each instance, the bears were seen standing on their hind legs.  One was ready to get into a corn patch at Salem.  On W. Bear Swamp Road the bear as standing on the road.
