Bernardi’s Career-High 20 Points Lifts SMU Over Furman, 72-53

Freshman Brian Bernardi came off of the bench to score a career-high 20 points and SMU scored the game’s first 13 points as the Mustangs defeated Furman, 72-53, on Sunday afternoon at Moody Coliseum. The loss, Furman’s fourth straight, dropped the Paladins to 3-9 overall and 0-6 on the road this season. SMU upped its record to 10-4 and improved to 5-0 at home.
