Bill signing ceremony called off

Word has been received that Governor Haley has called off her appearance in Oconee County Monday when she planned to sign a workplace bill, authored by Representative Bill Sandifer of Seneca. The ceremony had been planned for the Schneider Electric plant, which Sandifer says is an example of a workplace that will benefit from his right-to-work legislation. Sandifer said he isn’t sure what forced the governor to cancel. Apparently the bill-signing would have been ceremonial, as Sandifer says the bill is already law.
