Bob Faires is Seneca’s 1-cent guy

It’s official. Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander has decreed that the city’s utilities superintendent, Bob Faires, shall be Seneca’s representative on a countywide task force that’ll go to work on Oconee’s next stab at a capital projects referendum. And Faires interpreted the mayor’s marching orders last night for him to have a hand on who sits on the committee representing Oconee’ other municipalities. “The duty right now is to find two people from the other four cities who would like to serve and would consider this a task worthy of undertaking,” he said. Personally, Faires has some questions about a new proposition to place before the voters for an extra penny on the sales tax would fund projects for the public good. His thoughts on that can be heard today on 96.3/WGOG NEWS.
