Body found in lake, autopsy today

An autopsy takes place today on the body of a Keowee Key man. And once the autopsy results are available and reported to the man’s family, they will be released to the public, according to the Oconee County coroner. Karl Addis says Robert Bruce Graffis was found Saturday night, in water 10 to 12 feet deep 50 yards from the shoreline. Graffis, who was 77, left his home on Lead Lane Way around 2 Saturday afternoon to return his fishing boat in a slip at the Keowee Key marina. Graffis had had his boat at his home for maintenance work. His car, with boat trailer attached, was discovered at the boat ramp, from which he had launched the boat between 4 and 5 o’clock. According to Grahl Haney of Oconee Emergency Services, emergency workers found the boat drifting from the ramp.
