Boil water advisory

A boil water advisory remains in place this morning for residents of a Lake Hartwell home development in Oconee County. The advisory pertains to those who live in Foxwood Hills sections B, C, D, E, and G, along with Edisto. Sam McCall, utilities superintendent for the development, said the advisory was necessitated by the break yesterday morning of an 8-inch water line. Though that line has since been repaired, Foxwood Hills must conduct tests to ensure the quality of the drinking water. So, until the advisory is lifted, those affected should vigorously boil water before using it for drinking or cooking purposes.
