Bon Voyage time for Dr. Lucas

April 30, 2014

The official presentation of a new education budget gave Dr. Mike Lucas, the retiring Oconee superintendent of education, a chance last night to thank the Oconee County Council. Lucas looks back on his time as county superintendent with fondness and satisfaction and gave a hint as to what he looks forward after a career in education that has lasted more than 35 years. He’s going to remain an Oconee County resident, but he’ll be doing some traveling.
