Bond issue in front of Oconee County Council

Oconee County Council is scheduled to take the second of three required readings tonight to a general obligation bond worth up to $16 million dollars.  The backup information to tonight’s agenda shows the purposes for which the county would apply the proceeds.  They are to defray costs of the following projects: a new Westminster magistrate building; the Oconee Workforce Development Center; academic facilities at the Pendleton campus of Tri-County Technical College; land for agriculture activities on U-S 123; 14 T-hangars at the Oconee Regional Airport; and building repairs and upgrades in the county library system.
