Booker, Mays Report to NBA Training Camps Tuesday

Trevor Booker as a star at Clemson.

Former Clemson basketball standouts Trevor Booker and James Mays will report to NBA training camps on Tuesday. Booker is set to begin his third season with the Washington Wizards, and will travel to George Mason University for training camp Oct. 2-9. Mays signed a non-guaranteed free agent contract with the Brooklyn Nets last month, and he will be in East Rutherford, NJ for training camp on Tuesday, Oct. 2.  Booker started 32 of 50 games during last year’s lockout-shortened regular season. He suffered a season-ending foot injury for the second straight season, despite never missing a start in 134 games in four years for the Tigers. He averaged 8.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, which included an 18-point, 17-rebound performance in a win over the Los Angeles Lakers on March 7, 2012.
