BREAKING: Jason Mark Carter captured in Tennessee

Jason Mark Carter, who was found not guilty by reason of insanity in the 2006 murder of his mother and stepfather and committed, has been captured in Williamson County, TN according to information the Sheriff’s Office received from the State Law Enforcement Division.  The Sheriff’s Office was notified early yesterday afternoon that he has escaped from a mental health facility in Columbia.  Williamson County, TN is about a 20 to 25 minute drive south of Nashville, TN.

On March 27th, 2006, deputies responded to 419 Meldau Road in Seneca in response to a welfare check.  During their search, officers found the bodies of Kevin and Debra Ann Perkins inside a locked room in the basement with Carter inside with the victims.

The Sheriff’s Office is unsure of the time or details of his capture.
