Budget requests due Friday

What Oconee County departments are going to spend during 2013-14 have to be in writing to the county administrator by the end of the work week. Scott Moulder says the department heads are aware that Friday is the deadline for them to submit their requests for a new budget year. Moulder predicts another tight year, with the five-member county council is no mood to raise taxes. He predicts, however, that road work and economic development, creating jobs, will receive high priorities.
