Builder clears City Hall hurdle at Seneca

A home builder cleared a City Hall hurdle in Seneca when the planning commission approved a zoning change.  The commissioners’ 4-0 vote is a recommendation, subject to city council approval next month.  On behalf of a Greenville County company, an engineer succeeded in eliciting the planning commission’s support of a zoning change to allow for single-home family homes on lakefront property at N. Debra Street and Inlet Drive.  While none of four nearby residents in the audience spoke in opposition to the zoning change, three of them asked questions about how the nearly 20 acres are to be developed by the Sentell company of Simpsonville.
