Building’s new look prompts calls of inquiry
A new look at a building near Westminster led yesterday to a number of calls to Oconee’s Pine Street office complex, asking whether a sexually-oriented business is in the works. The location is what appears to be an empty building on 123/the Sandifer Boulevard just east of the city. Josh Stephens, deputy director of community development for the county, says his office has had no contact with anyone about starting such a business. Under the county’s zoning rules, special exceptions are required for sexually-oriented businesses, and applicants must meet county standards governing the business.
