Burglary suspects sought by Sheriff’s Office

The Oconee Sheriff’s Office seeks the public’s help to find two men wanted on multiple charges from a burglary Wednesday night at a Salem area home. The two suspects have been identified by the Sheriff’s Office as Joshua Estes, 24, and James Mitchel Estes II, 30, both of Hendersonville, North Carolina. The burglary occurred just before 11 p-m Wednesday at 201 Shallowford Road. Shots were fired and, according to spokesman Jimmy Watt of the Sheriff’s Office, Joshua Estes wound up being treated and later released at a North Carolina hospital for a gun shot wound in South Carolina. The Sheriff’s Office says Joshua Estes is charged with assault and battery first degree, burglary first degree and grand larceny and James Mitchel Estes is facing charges of grand larceny and burglary first degree.
