Businessman joins Clemson Board of Trustees

Effective immediately, Charlotte, North Carolina businessman Mark Richardson has been named to the Clemson University Board of Trustees. He’s a 1983 alumnus who was a member of the Tigers’ national championship football team two years earlier. He’s part of the family which started the Carolina Panthers franchise. For the last four years, Richardson has managed and owned a real estate company. He’s a part owner of the Panthers and more than 50 Bojangles restaurants in North Carolina and Virginia. Richardson succeeds Bill Amick of Batesburg, who is retiring from the Clemson board after 30 years.
