Can we compromise?

Oconee County has disclosed its strategy in the aftermath of a citizens’ legal victory in a zoning dispute. After a closed-door session, the County Council last night instructed Administrator Scott Moulder to explore the possibility of a compromise with the winning plaintiffs. A judge recently decided that the application of a residential agricultural zoning classification conflicted with state law ensuring the rights of those who wish to use their property for agricultural purposes.
