Can we get a camera in there?

June 5, 2013

To help put a stop to costly vandalism inside Walhalla’s public restrooms downtown, the mayor has posed the question of whether a camera might deter the vandals. During a City Hall meeting last night, Mayor Danny Edwards made clear he’s not talking about a camera that would videotape someone inside a bathroom stall. He’s talking instead about a camera in the lobby of the Main Street bathrooms that would pick up who goes in, who goes out. According to City Administrator Nancy Goehle, bathroom vandalism has reduced the hours of the public restrooms to 7 a-m to 7 p-m.
