Candidates talk Tri-County Tech

The hopefuls this year for Seat One, Oconee County Council may not agree on whether county residents wanting to enroll at Tri-County Technical College are actually able to enroll for courses they need, but they do agree that Tech must build an Oconee County campus. And one of the candidates, Paul Corbeil, predicted last night that it won’t be long before Tech delivers that campus. Corbeil’s opponent, Edda Cammick, who teaches at Tech, says she is disappointed that of the total enrollment that her college draws from three counties, only 15% of the students come from Oconee. Cammick and Corbeil spoke during a League of Women Voters’ forum last night in Seneca. They are entered in next month’s Republican Party primary election.
