Car-share program announced for Clemson campus

Clemson University has struck a deal with a subsidiary of the car rental company Avis        to bring a car-sharing program to the campus.  At what the announcement says will be affordable rates, the Zipcar car sharing network will have six vehicles available at designated parking spots near Sikes Hall, Sirrine Hall, Thornhill Village, Fike and Bryan Circle for pick up and return.  Zipcar and the Ford Motor company are providing $200 thousand in grants to student organizations at college and universities.
