Car swerves off Doug Hollow Road

A car driver escaped serious injury when his car left Doug Hollow Road about 8:30 this morning and wound up in a patch of kudzu down an embankment.  The accident involved a resident of Waterford Point subdivision.  Members of the Keowee Fire Department were among responders who climbed down the embankment to free the driver from the wreckage.  According to one responder, the driver did not require a trip to the hospital.
