Case approaches the jury room

It appears more and more the jury will get the Bartee case by the noon hour. Late this morning, Assistant Solicitor Lindsey Simmons was completing her closing arguments. Simmons opened first for the purpose of stressing the law in the case, gave way to defense lawyer Douglas Brannon, then got back up before the jury to go over testimony and evidence. All of this was preceded by Judge Lawton McIntosh’s charging of the law–what jurors must keep in mind as they decide whether James Bartee is guilty of solicitation to commit a felony.
