Case set for August trial

A judge in Walhalla refused today to lower the bond of a man charged with offenses in a traffic accident that caused death and injury early last year in rural Oconee County.  The bail, set for defendant Jordan Tilson, remains $128 thousand dollars.  Tilson is charged with felony DUI with death and felony DUI with great bodily injury in an accident March 14, 2015 at highway 11 and Mountain Road.  According to the office of Oconee Coroner, killed in the accident was Autumn Charissa Jordan.  While refusing to lower the bond, Judge Scott Sprouse ordered Tilson’s trial to take place during the August term of Oconee General Sessions Court, and he instructed both sides to be ready.  Tilson’s attorney, Danny Day, says his client has been held in jail 457 days since his arrest.
