Two applications for certificates of appropriateness are up for consideration tonight at the Seneca City Hall.  The applicants are Scott Stewart at 402 S. Depot Street and Terry Collins at 401 S. Walnut.  The Board of Architectural  hearings start at 6 o’clock.

A 20-year old Oconee County man died in what the state patrol calls a three-vehicle crash last evening on South Carolina 11, not far from the 24 intersection. Coroner Karl Addis said Gabriel Anson Hochstetler of Rodgers Road, Seneca died at the scene. We are getting word of fires in the areas of northern and southern Oconee County.  One is home fire in a Lake Keowee home development near Salem; the other a vehicle and woods fire on I-85 in Anderson County near Townville.

State troopers report an accident this afternoon on I-85 in Oconee County.  The accident was logged at 2:13 this afternoon at the three mile marker northbound.

The Clemson University board of trustees Friday approved a 1 percent tuition increase for in-state undergraduate students for the 2019-2020 academic year. South Carolina students and their families and the state’s commitment to increased funding for higher education. The board also approved a 3.8 percent tuition increase for non-resident students.
