Sky 96.3 Clayton Radio reported a 1,261 acre burn inside the Chattooga Ranger District, five miles northeast of Clayton. It prompted Mountain Rest Fire Department to post: “The wind is blowing our direction.”

According to the Oconee Sheriff’s Office, Angel Dawn Holloway, 34, is charged with petty larceny, along with first and second degree burglary.
