Today’s South Carolina COVID numbers

Once again, South Carolina has surpassed one thousand new confirmed cases of COVID-19 for a 24-hour period.  The DHEC numbers reported today reflect the count that ended at 11:59 Tuesday night.  Of 1,200 new cases, 26 of them were Oconee County residents.  Statewide, the death toll rose by four South Carolina residents.  Of 9,604 test results received, the positivity was […]

Natural causes — death ruling at Townville home

No fatal injuries showed up in an autopsy yesterday on a 74-year old man who lived at Townville. Car-deer accident near WGOG

Squad cars from the highway patrol and the sheriff’s office were at the scene of an accident involving a car and a deer near Walhalla.  The accident was reported shortly after 5 this morning on SC 183/the Westminster Highway at Summertime Circle, about one-quarter of a mile south of WGOG.
