Death in custody investigation

A death yesterday at the Pickens County Detention Center is being investigated by the county coroner’s office and the state Law Enforcement Division.  Deputy Coroner Andrew Wilson says Fire and EMS responded early yesterday to the jail in response to a cardiac arrest call and found 51-year-old Easley resident Michael Stephen Cruse dead.  An autopsy will take place.
