In high school baseball Tuesday, Daniel Singleton pitched a complete game one-hitter with 12 strikeouts to lead the West-Oak Warriors pas the Daniel Lions 11-1. In softball, the Lions got the win, 3-1, over the Warriors. Ashton Martin gets the win on the mound for the Lions.

Seneca beats Walhalla on the diamond

Seneca baseball came back from being down by six runs Monday night to defeat Walhalla 7-6 in the Western AAA opener. Alex Medlin got the win on the mound for the Bobcats, going 6.1 innings and allowing only one unearned run. Seneca will host Wren on Friday. Walhalla is back in action Wednesday, hosting Easley.

Walhalla headed to tournament championship

High School Baseball on Wednesday saw the Walhalla Razorbacks defeat the Seneca Bobcats 5-4 in The Journal’s Mountain Lakes Preseason Tournament.  Seneca now faces Daniel, who defeated West-Oak 6-5 on Wednesday. Walhalla will play that game’s winner at 6 PM on Friday for the title. Congratulations to Walhalla’s Cullen Jackson. On Wednesday, Cullen signed to play soccer at Anderson University.
