Autopsies have been performed on the couple who died in an early morning house fire in Seneca.  Oconee Coroner Karl Addis says both Edgar Blake Smith and his wife Patsy Hughes Smith died of carbon monoxide poisoning due to smoke inhalation.  Both Mr & Mrs Smith were 73.  Emergency units responded to Friday morning 911 call, which reported a house fire at 102 Sunnyview Drive in Seneca.  Coroner Addis says Mrs. Smith was discovered in the hallway just outside her bedroom.  Mr. Smith was discovered collapsed beside his bed in his bedroom.   The cause of the fire is under investigation by SLED and Oconee County Fire Authorities.
