Central man arrested in Westminster

A 24-year old resident of the Pickens County town of Central was arrested early yesterday morning in Westminster on multiple charges. The police say they were alerted around 4 a-m to between four and six shots fired in the vicinity of E. North Avenue and Lakeside Drive. According to law enforcement records, a police canvas of the neighborhood led to the arrest of Andrew Scott Hendricks on charges of public disorderly conduct, discharging firearm, possession of pistol by certain persons unlawful, and the use of firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The police confiscated a folding blade knife from Hendricks and, within ten feet of the arrest location, found a loaded 9 MM handgun.
