Chairman’s prerogative: agenda rules changed

Starting April 15, public comment rules are changing at meetings of Oconee CountyCouncil. No longer will anyone be allowed to address the council at the start of meeting about matters that are not on the agenda. However, the council will initiate a second comment session at the end of regular business to accept comments and questions about non-agenda items. The changes were proposed by Chairman Joel Thrift and supported by the other three members.
