Stolen guns and jewelry have been recovered by sheriff’s officers in their investigation of burglaries this summer in three rural Oconee County communities. And a 31-year old man has been sent to jail. The Oconee Sheriff’s Office has announced 14 charges against Jonathan Allen Finney of Maple Circle, Tamassee. Finney was arrested August 28. The burglaries were in Return, Fairview, and Tamassee communities. One Tamassee home was burgled twice. Two of the crimes were church burglaries, in which money was taken from Return Baptist Church and Fairview Southern Methodist Church.
